The ombudsman received 794 complaints about the economic impact of the new coronavirus
The Human Rights Defender received 794 complaints about the measures to neutralize the economic consequences of the new type of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Armenia. The complaints were received by the Human Rights Staff both in writing and orally. In addition, he also monitored the media.
The issues raised in the complaints about the measures can be divided into two groups: problems of a technical nature, issues that require the necessary legal regulation.
"The Human Rights Defender, while using the anti-crisis measures, nevertheless notes that they may be targeted, which will further emphasize the state's readiness to eliminate any problem related to the measures. "Under the state of emergency, the legal burden of the state is increasing, which further obliges the state to implement all solutions on the most favorable terms for the people," the statement said.
