Rouhani says nearly 35 million people are at risk of contracting COVID-19
About 30-35 million people in Iran are at risk of contracting COVID-19, IRNA reported referring to the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
According to the Iranian health ministry's report, nearly 25 million Iranians have been infected with the COVID-19, while the death toll has reached 14 thousand. Over the past 150 days, over 200 thousand people have been hospitalized, Rouhani noted.
Based on the report, another 30-35 million people will be infected with COVID-19, he added noting that the number of hospitalizations in the future will double in comparison with the last five months.
