At best, this year we will have 100,000 tons of grain. agriculturist
As the farmers were not provided with high quality seeds, this year the average grain yield is expected in the republic. Hrach Berberyan, chairman of the Agrarian-Peasant Union NGO, told Armenian News-NEWS.am, referring to the expected grain harvest in the country this year.
"I think the average yield per hectare will be 1.8 tons if the village heads do not draw the numbers. "If we take into account that 50-55 thousand hectares of grain have been sown, naturally, in the best case, we will have a harvest of 100 thousand tons, no more," he said.
He noted that the grain harvest has already started in the Ararat Valley and will pass through mountainous and mountainous areas.
Hrach Berberyan noted that state support in the form of diesel fuel and fertilizers is not right, it is necessary to help the villagers by giving low-interest loans.
"Smart barns and parcels are all fairy tales of Grandma Gyulnaz and always make the villager stand in front of a broken bottom, the banks and the owners of the program get rich, and then many leave and run away," he said.
The farmer noted that the government has promised to import 5,000 tons of high-quality seeds by the end of the year and he hopes that his program will be implemented.
