A former chairman of the Urban Development of Committee of Armenia has gone on a hunger-strike in what is reported to be a protest action "demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan."
Vahagn Vermishyan's lawyer confirmed the report to Tert.am on Wednesday afternoon without, however, giving further details.
Vermishyan was arrested - and later detained - in February in a corruption scheme suspecting the former government official of accepting graft in the amount 1-2.5 million Armenian Drams (AMD 481 = USD 1) to sanction illegal development activities.
